What a week that was! We hope that the storm wasn't too unkind to you, and that everyone is back to full power. (It's a little difficult to roast a turkey when you're oven's on the blink!)

Now that the winds have passed, we're all dealing with frozen hoses - and at Scampers, frozen hoses can pose a nasty dilemma!

Special Note: While we'll be hosting a houseful of boarders at Scampers, our daycare will be closed on both Thanksgiving and Black Friday. Enjoy the holidays!

Scampers Technology Shift!

We are very excited to announce that we are in the process of migrating the administration of our client accounts for daycare and boarding services to an online petcare industry management service.

We know that doesn't actually sound all that interesting, but we think that you're going to be almost as excited as we are about this new development. For those who are technologically inclined, this service gives you the option to manage your own Scampers accounts through personalized password-protected identities within the Scampers portal. You will be able to make your own reservations for daycare and boarding, monitor and update your pooches' vaccination status, and track the usage of your daycare packages.

We are in the set-up phase, but we plan to be up and running on our newfangled online service within the next week or two, when we'll let you know how to access your accounts.

Pooch need a spruce up?

Chris Sugarbaker of Cut-N-Run, mobile groomer extraordinaire will make his next visit to Scampers on Tuesday, November 24th.

His schedule really does fill up often, and while we'll try to squeeze everyone in, please make sure to get your request in early if your dog needs a spruce-up.

Have a Cuppa Joe in support of pet rescue

Hey all -- look for our coffee service each morning when you are dropping off. We're donating the coffee and trimmings to the cause. Any funds we take in for cups of coffee will be forwarded to Homeward Pet.

We hope you'll opt for a quick Cuppa Joe from right here at Scampers so we can all help support canine rescue efforts.

Friday Funny

Heard 'round the water bowl

We're a pretty close knit group of pooches - we form strong friendships, and we get to know each other very well. When we new pooches join us, we love to introduce them around and get them started in their Scampering adventures - that's why they call us the "Welcome Waggin".

On Monday, the Big Dogs welcomed Luna Bear, a lovely Pitty with a bunch of energy and a smile as big as her heart. Meanwhile, the Littles made pretty Sheba Inu Meghan feel welcome, and introduced her to all the wranglers.

Roku joined the Mediums on Tuesday - she's a party girl, and enjoys sharing her day with the active pooches.

Gizmo got to share in the Littles party on Thursday morning - we think he may have been amused by all the antics - he enjoyed watching all the silly rompy puppies and all the nosey roving old-timers. Dav (DaVinci!) had a grand time making friends with all the other newbies - Roku made sure to show him how much fun daycare can be!

We're wishing Nox a speedy recovery. Oris reports she's doing well, but she still has some healing to do. At the same time, we're wishing our "little" buddy, Moose, speedy healing too. We're looking forward to seeing our fun friends back in the fray very soon.

There's also a ScampersDogs channel on YouTube where you'll find all kinds of fun videos, and we update that selection periodically.

Scampers Boarding Facility

Our boarding facility has very been busy this year. Some weekends have found our facility absolutely full to the brim with happy campers!

Remember to get your boarding requests in early to make sure there's room enough for your pooches. We are already full for the Thanksgiving holidays, and expect to be as busy for the Christmas holidays as well.

Samson is a frequent Scampers boarder. Here he is greeting the morning staff with his great big grin!

This is Gunde, relaxing during her recent weekend with us. Gunde used to be a regular camper and we've missed her wily sense of humor, so we're glad she still comes to board once in a while.

Sibling Berner-Golden mix pups Nox and Oris found a nice spot for a mid-day nap - boarding is tiring work for these active and mischievous pups.

12th Dogs

We know we have lots of Seahawks fans in our Scampers community. Here's where we'll post your 12th Dog pics. We're looking forward to seeing LOTS of those over the next few months.

Miss Mimi enjoyed her visit to Mulkiteo, especially the fresh sea breezes.

We have also received some great shots documenting "The Real Reason" you bring your furkids to Scampers.

Pretty Abby G is a very helpful pooch indeed. This lovely picture shows her effort at helping to unpack mysterious things at the office.

Canine Nosework Classes at Scampers

Dogs have an incredible sense of smell and an inborn desire to hunt. The sport of K9 Nose Work is designed to develop the natural scenting abilities of your dog by using their passion for hunting and their love of toys, food and exercise.

It's a great class for your dog to have fun, build confidence, and burn lots of mental and physical energy and you get to find out just how good your dog's nose is.
