What a gorgeous week we’ve had – the pooches are loving all their fresh air fun, such a surprise for autumn in the Pacific Northwest.

Like much of the nation, we’re focused on the vote – but don’t worry, we’re not getting into politics! We’re focused on the Pooch of the Month results, as well as our renewed appeal for your votes for King5 News’ Best of Western Washington.

October Pooch of the Month – Congratulations, Riggs
Our congratulations to Riggs, our October Pooch of the Month winner.
This was a strong field of contenders and while voting was brisk, it was spread among the nominees. Riggs’ handsome face put him over the top this month!

King5 Best of Western Washington –
We’d sure appreciate your votes

It’s time for King5’s annual Best of Western Washington. We’ve been nominated but we’re way behind, so we’re looking for your votes!

Scampers Boarding
Our boarding services are proving to be very popular, and we’ve been taking bookings for the upcoming holiday seasons. If you foresee needing space for your pooch at Scampers, please get your reservations placed early.

Note that there will be a premium charge for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day.

Heard ‘Round the Water Bowl
We’re excited to be adding new personalities each week. Our frequent campers are doing their best to make them feel welcome. Here’s some of the gossip heard ’round the water bowl:

“Hey, Ripley, you’ve been Primary Greeter all week – what’s your impression of our most recent additions?”

“Abbie’s probably the cuddliest pooch we’ve ever seen. She’s pug-shaped, but she’s got the springiest little paws! She’s a candidate for the agility training.”

“Then we added Bentley to the Big Dog crew, even though he’s just a young fellow, he has the lab pup size to suit that bunch. And he’s a pooch who enjoys visiting the wranglers for snuggles.”

“Newest newbie is Frankie, who’s having her first day today. She’s a cutie pooch, very talkative, and very interested in meeting everyone – and another fan of the human attention that’s available.”
