Well, it was inevitable – we’re reaching autumn. We know this because leaves are falling (and pooches are chasing them!) and so is the rain. With the change in the weather we’re spending more time indoors and that limits our capacity slightly. Please remember to let us know if you plan to bring your pooch – we’d hate to have to turn anyone away.

November’s Pooch of the Month – Halloween Costume Contest
Check out the be-knighted chihuahua! We think there may be a few dogs sporting Halloween costumes in a few weeks, and we’d love to share the fun with everyone. Enter a photo of your costumed pooch in Scampers’ Pooch of the Month contest for November.

King5 Best of Western Washington –

It’s time for King5’s annual Best of Western Washington. We’ve been nominated but we’re way behind, so we’re looking for your votes!

Note that there will be a premium charge for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day.

Pooch need a spruce-up?
Chris Sugarbaker, Cut-N-Run’s groomer-in-chief, will drive his studio to Scampers on Tuesday, Oct 16th.

Chris’s schedule for full grooms and baths is full this week, but there are a few slots left for nail trims.

Heard ‘Round the Water Bowl
We’re excited to be adding new personalities each week. Our frequent campers are doing their best to make them feel welcome. Here’s some of the gossip heard ’round the water bowl:

“Berlin and Remus were such a funny pair – they look like tiny little puppies, but they’ve got lots of years on them. Spry and spunky things they are, though. Word is they have experience in canine team-building.”

“I enjoyed gallumping about with Tyson yesterday – he’s a big-time playboy, let me tell you! He launched himself right into the fray without hesitation.”

“Havanese Rocky, on the other hand, was a little slower on the uptake, but once he found out everyone is friendly, he settled in nicely for a day among friends.”

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
Very best regards,
Linda Olsen and Stina Hughes
