Blustery days, rainy nights, and lots and lots of excited and very playful pooches. That’s the kind of week we’ve had. We’re filling up our space often these last few days, so be sure to get your rezzies in, or call ahead to make sure we have space.

(For our customers who bring pooches on a regular schedule: our business management system is pretty good for most things, but not so good for scheduling – it limits the number of weeks we can enter for recurring appointments! Once in a while, please check in with us to remind us of your schedule, and we’ll in turn remind our software!)

November’s Pooch of the Month – Halloween Costume Contest
Check out the pretty little cheerleader! We think there may be a few dogs sporting Halloween costumes in a couple of weeks, and we’d love to share the fun with everyone. Enter a photo of your costumed pooch in Scampers’ Pooch of the Month contest for November. Please submit your photos by Thursday, November 1st.

Pooch need a spruce-up?
Chris Sugarbaker, Cut-N-Run’s groomer-in-chief, will drive his studio to Scampers on Tuesday, Oct 30th.

Chris’s schedule does fill up quickly, so be sure to claim a spot for your pooch – whether for a simple mani-pedi, a bath and blow dry, or a full groom complete with the works!

Heard ‘Round the Water Bowl
We’re excited to be adding new personalities each week. Our frequent campers are doing their best to make them feel welcome. Here’s some of the gossip heard ’round the water bowl:

“Xena, you managed to find another great addition to your yellow lab bunch – Driver just jumped right in like he’d been here all along.”

“Little Lucy H, the golden pup, sure found a fun way to spend a day – so many dogs, so little time! She may not have realized she can come back and play again soon.”

“I think Dallas’ favorite was young Fergus – another ‘Party in a Puppy Suit’ who’s willing to romp all day, especially around the puddles!”

“Dallas also enjoyed meeting and welcoming Ruby L to the group – she was a good new friend to help Ruby be more comfortable in the new environment.”

“Henry the Frenchie was a great friend for the pug brothers. I’ll bet he looks for them when he comes next time – he’ll want more playtime like he found on his first day. He should also spend some time with Tyson one of these days – they’d hit it off too!”

“Kumi was happy to see so many pooches near her size too. She was a little shy at first, but pretty soon she found a circle of pooches that she could relax and play with.”

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
Very best regards,
Linda Olsen and Stina Hughes
