Pooch of the Month – November 2010

She’s just lookin’ for a little lovin’

Meet Rosie. She’s one of two “house” pooches, and pooch of Scampers Daycamp for Dogs’ co-founder, Stina Hughes.

A beautiful beagle, Rosie naturally comes with a very active and curious nose, which in her earliest days got her into some trouble. It seems she got so thoroughly lost following that nose of hers that when was finally picked up as a stray in West Virginia, she was traumatized and frightened and badly needed a loving family environment. The Hughes family found her through PetFinder.com, and immediately fell completely in love, and they have never looked back.
Rosie is the reason for the launch of Scampers Daycamp for Dogs, as she had so much fun and gained so much confidence with frequent visits to Camp Canine in Ashland, Massachusetts. When the Hughes family moved to the Pacific Northwest from Massachusetts, they were unable to find a convenient daycare for Rosie, and so Scampers was launched.
For this reason, Rosie is the honorary Pooch of the Month for Scampers Daycamp for Dogs inaugural month.
