Dear Scampers People –

Another lively week at Scampers means we have lots of fun videos on Facebook (and more will be uploaded as time allows, but your dogs are keeping us pretty busy) – if  you want to know what your dog does all day at Scampers, do take a moment to enjoy the show.

Pooch of the Month – Halloween Pics are In

While you’re there, be sure to tour through the Halloween Pooch Pics. We received several great submissions for the Halloween Pooch of the Month contest – wonderful costumes! Have a good laugh, and vote for your favorites. To vote, click on “Like”. Note: Visitors may need to “Like” our Facebook page first.

November’s Coming, so is Thanksgiving, and so is Black Friday

We plan to be closed on Thanksgiving so everyone can have their turkey time. At this time, we plan to be open on Black Friday, the day following – IF we have enough interest from you. So, if you plan to take advantage of those Black Friday special sales and need to drop a pooch or two off with us for a while, please do let us know in advance. If the population looks like it may be fewer than 15 dogs, we’ll give our staffers a nice extended holiday. They deserve it – they’re working hard!

Pooch Needs a Spruce-Up? Chris Sugarbaker of Cut-’N-Run – Next Visit is this Tuesday, November 8th

Chris will be at Scampers for a grooming visit again on Tuesday, November 8th. If your dog needs some sprucing up, be sure to claim your dog’s spot with him away – his schedule has filled up completely on more than one occasion.

Pawlogic’s One-on-One Private Training

Pawlogic is offering a great deal to Scampers Campers – Cathy is offering one-on-one private training for your dogs during their day at Scampers, in half hour time slots, and customized to your requirements. Your dog will come home with an itemized report card and maybe even some homework for you! You’ll also get a complimentary pass to drop in on one of the Pawlogic group classes. Call Cathy at 425-443-5280 to reserve your spot!

Pooch Health – a Cooperative Effort

Please remember your role in protecting the health of your own dog as well as all the Scampers Campers. If your dog is displaying symptoms that warrant veterinary care, please ask your veterinarian if or when return to a daycare environment is appropriate. Also, as a reminder, we  maintain a policy that all Scampers campers must have current vaccinations. Please keep your dog’s vaccinations current, and ask your veterinarian to forward a copy of any updated vaccination records to Scampers via fax.  Finally, please ask your vet to place your dog on a 6-month reminder cycle for bordetella (kennel cough), letting them know that your dog participates in daycare.

Photos and Video

We are now posting videos on YouTube as well as Facebook, Flickr and the Scampers Blog. Take a tour from time to time to see if there are any new shots of your pooch in action.
