We’re well into a new year, and now that most of us are remembering it’s 2013 when writing the date, we start to see more changes at Scampers.

This week, we’re bidding adieu to Steven and Sarah and their baby, Lucas, as they move to the frozen north to set up their family homestead, and while we will miss them terribly, we’re very pleased to be welcoming Ren’nee and Maddie to our dog wrangling crew.

Introducing Friday Funnies
Every once in a while we come across a dog-oriented joke that we just have to share.
Watch for the updates of our framed Friday Funny in our reception area.

We’ll also make sure they’re posted on our Facebook page so you can share them with your friends.

…this one’s todays.

Pooch Need a Spruce-Up?
Chris Sugarbaker, Cut-N-Run’s groomer-in-chief is back!

We were all so excited about his return that we over-booked him this week, so he’s bringing his new studio van back again next week. He’ll be making his return visit on Tuesday, January 15th.

Remember, Chris’ schedule often fills up, so make sure to claim time for your pooch ASAP.

Scampers Boarding
Our boarding services are proving to be very popular, and we’ve filled up for the holiday season.

Our busiest times are the holiday weekends and our suites do fill up, so be sure to get your reservations in early.

Note that there is a premium charge for July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day.

K9 Nosework Classes
Dogs have an incredible sense of smell and an inborn desire to hunt.

The sport of K9 Nose Work is designed to develop the natural scenting abilities of your dog by using their passion for hunting and their love of toys, food and exercise.

It’s a great class for your dog to have fun, build confidence, and burn lots of mental and physical energy and to find out just how good your dog’s nose is.

Vicki Francks, owner of Cascade Canines will is offering K9 Nose Work Classes using Scampers facility. The first class is already underway, but if you’re interested in enrolling in the next class, please be sure to contact Vicki at 206-849-7643. More information is available as Scampers front desk.

Heard ’round the water bowl
We’re excited to be adding new personalities each week. Our frequent campers are doing their best to make them feel welcome. Here’s some of the gossip heard ’round the water bowl:

“Abbie, you did such a nice job of introducing Franklin to his new playmates – he seems very happy to be here.”

“Max seemed happy to return today – he is a little more reserved than some in his group, but he does have a nice time with everyone.”

“Well of course! That’s what Scampers is all about!”

Wishing you a wonderful weekend. Stay warm and safe.
Very best regards,

Linda Olsen and Stina Hughes
