Dear Scampers People –

We’re enjoying a sunny Friday afternoon, and the puppy pool is out and getting lots of attention from the waterbabies – all the others are enjoying watching the splash.

We are delighted have welcomed lots of new pooches to the Scampers community over the past couple of months, and with our burgeoning population, we have been making more changes to our facility. You’ll notice more white vinyl screening attached to our fencing, both inside and outside. We’ve learned that helps to ease the excitement levels – you may not have noticed, but your dogs get very excited at the prospect of welcoming all the new arrivals throughout the day.

Also, by the time all our campers are back to their routines after summer holidays, Scampers is going to be a hopping place, so  get ready for some updated policies related to reservations and waitlists – yes, it’s almost that time!

Pooch Needs a Spruce-Up? Chris Sugarbaker of Cut-’N-Run – Next Visit is this Tuesday, August 16th

Chris will be at Scampers for a grooming visit again on Tuesday, August 16th. If your dog needs some sprucing up or a summer cut, be sure to claim your dog’s spot with him right away – his schedule tends to fill up quickly.

Pawlogic One-Day Seminars

Pawlogic is offering one-day seminars throughout the summer months that emphasize important training cues. Pencil these dates in: August 13th – Loose Leash Walking, and August 27th – Coffee Shop Etiquette. Seminars have limited space, and Cathy has announced extra sessions to accommodate the volume of responses. Call her to reserve your spot.

Good luck, Courtney!

Our evening dog wrangler, Courtney, has landed herself a great full-time job, and in the dog care industry which she so loves. We’re delighted for her and wish her the very best of luck in her future.

Pooch Health – a Cooperative Effort

Please remember your role in protecting the health of your own dog as well as all the Scampers Campers. If your dog is displaying symptoms that warrant veterinary care, please ask your veterinarian if or when return to a daycare environment is appropriate.

Pooch Health, cont’d: Current Vaccination Records

Also, as a reminder, we  maintain a policy that all Scampers campers must have current vaccinations. Please keep your dog’s vaccinations current, and ask your veterinarian to forward a copy of any updated vaccination records to Scampers via fax (425 821 4685).

Photos and Video

Whenever you have an extra few minutes, take a tour of the videos and photos in Facebook, Flickr and the Scampers Blog and see if there are any new shots of your pooch in action.
