It’s December! Already! Have you started your shopping yet? Making plans to travel over the river and through the woods, to Grandmother’s house… Remember, Scampers can help you with your pooch-oriented Christmas logistics and gifting lists.

Scampers Boarding
Our boarding services are proving to be very popular, and we’ve been taking bookings for the upcoming holiday season. If you foresee needing space for your pooch at Scampers, please get your reservations placed early.

Note that there is a premium charge for July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day.

By the way – we filled up over Thanksgiving, and we’re getting close to full for Christmas too. Be sure to get your reservations in – we’d hate to have to tell anyone “there’s no room at the inn”.

Anticipating Chris’ Return
Chris Sugarbaker, Cut-N-Run’s groomer-in-chief, is hard at work fitting out his new studio-van. We’re missing him, and wish him the best of luck and speedy healing, and we all look forward to seeing his smiling face again soon. (Biscuit’s beginning to look awfully Raggedy Ann-ish!

Introducing the Yellow Dog Project
We recently learned of the Yellow Dog Project, and want to share this with you.

The Yellow Dog Project was created to bring awareness to dogs who need space while training, recovering from surgery or being rehabilitated.

If you see a dog with a yellow ribbon or something yellow on the leash, this is a dog who needs some space. Please do not approach this dog with your dog. Please maintain distance or give this dog and his/her person time to move out of your way.

We have ribbons and information cards available in our reception area – please help yourself if you would like to use them for your pooch.

Heard ‘Round the Water Bowl
We’re excited to be adding new personalities each week. Our frequent campers are doing their best to make them feel welcome. Here’s some of the gossip heard ’round the water bowl:

“Molly M is a very sweet addition to our population of Molly-named pooches. She had a lovely day and made lots of friends too.”

“Wasn’t it nice of Reggie to introduce his new little brother, Bandit, to all his friends. Bandit was so much fun, he really introduce a new energy to his Littles party. With puppy Corgis Lily Mayflower and Digby joining the group, we have a whole new understanding of the perspective of the short-legged Littles. Puppy Boston Benny is another short-legged playfully mighty mite, and made a great addition to the play pals in the Littles group.”

“On the other hand, Haas, the magnificent new big boxer gave even Big Tyson someone to look up to!”

“I love being a part of the Welcome Waggin, but maybe we should invite some of the other campers to help us with this task. With so many pooches, we really could use some help with that, and we ought to share in the fun!”

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
Very best regards,

Linda Olsen and Stina Hughes
